#25) WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?

Patients ask me how I change beliefs. It is very easy for me to do and it does not take but a matter of minutes. I will define a belief as something we feel strongly about and have proof.  Lets say you have a strong belief that you will remain fat for the rest of your life.  When I ask you how you know that for certain, you then provide me with a long list of "proofs."  You may tell me that your whole family is fat and the doctors have told you it is genetic.  Another "proof" you may have is perhaps you have been fat since grade school.  And you know for certain that as a woman gets older she just gets fatter, and you have some "proofs" on that fact as well.   So my new prospective slim down client has just disarmed me with her "proofs" as to why she cannot lose weight, or has she??  My response to my new friend is, "then you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you are not going to be able to slim down, reach your target goal and keep the weight off for life, don't you?"   Then I ask, "would you like to lose the weight if you could, reach your ideal weight and keep that weight off for the rest of your life?"   Now that is a really good question because it tells if I am dealing with someone who really wants to slim down.  If they say to me that they would love to lose the weight if they could and they are being honest with themselves in that statement then it is a piece of cake for me to change their belief.

We have two minds you know, we have an active conscious thinking mind and we have a subconscious mind where we store all our experiences, emotions, true feelings and beliefs.  In reality it is the subconscious mind that drives our bus, we consciously react to those subconscious feelings and beliefs like little robots.  When I change beliefs I go into the subconscious mind and I erase the false or limiting beliefs and replace them with  more beneficial and useful beliefs.  Essentially if someone has a program running in the subconscious, that they are going to be fat the rest of their life, and that program was installed at some time in their life with strong emotion and or repetition, then that software program is going to run their  life (behaviors, feelings, actions, resulting life experiences, etc.)  as it relates to that strong belief.   In a matter of minutes I will erase the false and limiting programs and download a new positive and constructive belief.  It is rewarding to see the shift in a client's expression and demeanor when the pivot/shift in belief occurs.  This process is  essential in many of my client cases  in order to make their slim down program effective.   Weight loss is not just about the diet, we have to effectively handle the mental/emotional/habit side of this issue and when we do we get fast and certain weight loss that is exciting and transforming.
