#51) 40 ounce steak MAN

I had a new slim down client start the 30/10 weight loss for life  program today.  He was  5' 11" tall and weighed in at 335 pounds.  Big boned country boy at 30 years old but packing an extra 135 pounds or so.  I discussed with him his typical daily food consumption, a 20 ounce steak for breakfast, major fast food for lunch, sweets for mid day snack and a 40 ounce steak with macaroni and cheese for dinner. Yes I got it right, 40 ounce steak.  Before bed he enjoys his cookies and ice cream.

This guy was packing away some serious quantity of food and so I told him we were going to reduce his quantity of food and eliminate his sugars/carbs.  He will consume only my 30/10 nutritional foods for breakfast , morning snack, lunch, mid day snack and late night snack.  The only meal he will really have to make himself is dinner, "lets do a 12 ounce steak and add in 3-4 cups vegetables and cut the "sweet" tea, if you like tea then lets just sweeten it with stevia," I encouraged him.  The nutritional food products I provide for  him will be approximately 90 calories and 15 grams of protein each and no fat or sugar.  I hope to keep him satiated with these great tasting food products and then increase his vegetables for dinner and for lunch. He will be receiving about 3x the number of 3010 food products per day then would the average size man, given his history and habit of huge size meals.   I will see him back in a couple of days to see how he is doing and to determine  if  he is having any problems with hunger.

I do not want my slim down clients on  the 30/10 program to be hungry, so I provide enough nutritional food products to keep them happy and then slowly reduce food products as they enter the safe state of fat burn and lose the weight.  He has developed a habit of eating large amounts of food at every meal and we have to effectively break this habit with hypnosis and with our excellent food products for  his new 30/10 eating plan.

I expect him to lose 18 pounds his first week and then average 5 to 7 pounds a week through out his course of care.  Once he reaches his "ideal" weight, and remember I base a clients ideal weight on their body composition numbers.  When their body fat percent is low normal and their visceral fat rating is low normal then they will have arrived at their ideal weight.  When they reach this magic number they will typically find a significant transformation in  their metabolism, from sluggish to fast and they become what I call a fat burner vs. a fat storer.  Hormones will naturally balance and the client will feel and look better than ever before, libido  returns and activity levels and energy levels dramatically rise.

When the "ideal" weight has been achieved  we then tell our clients we will never abandon them, we want them to continue to come in to our facility for the rest of their lives-at  NO CHARGE- for periodic/frequent accountability body composition weigh-ins.  Any weight gains are caught early and the client is coached on how to lose any gained weight on their own, at home, with regular foods.  This process gives the client skills and experience and expertise in catching early weight gains and error correcting these gains on their own.  When weight gain occurs  it is easy to lose, as the client now has a fast metabolism and is a fat burner.  People who  do not lose their weight into their "ideal" weight zone,  based upon the science of body fat percent and visceral fat rating,  will find they simply gain all the weight back again.   Until next time, Dr. Mark Doyle

May 28 2013-Update-- My big guy returns today for his first week weigh-in, he has lost 11 pounds and proudly tells me he has not been hungry or starved on the program.  I advised him to discontinue his mid morning and after dinner nutritional products I have provided him during  his first week if he has no hunger for them from this point on.  Soon he will be only needing his breakfast, lunch and mid-day nutritional products and his dinner meal he prepares for himself at home. I must admit I was concerned as to whether I could satisfy a guy with a habitual 40 oz. dinner steak and 20 oz. steak for breakfast every day.  Our program is not about starvation, it is about eliminating the bad and adding back in the good and that is what makes the process easy, fun and exciting.  Exciting because big safe weight loss is amazing to witness and experience.

June 4 2013-Update-- One week weigh-in, big guy lost 7.5 pounds last week and he tells me he has had no hunger.  He wants to reduce the size of his current 12 oz. dinner steak to 8 oz.  He is down over 18 pounds in two weeks and the process has been easy and effective for him.  We are all excited for his continued progress.

July 30 2013-The 40 oz. steak MAN has been a challenge with numerous slip-ups along the way but in 10 weeks he is down over 40 lbs. and he feels so much better.  He is now starting another 10 week re-up and wants to drop another 40+ pounds, he is very happy with his progress.  If he can keep his commitment and stay focused on his desired state (40 lbs. with this new 10 week re-up and then a final 40 lbs. which will allow him to drop a total of 120 lbs. in total to reach his ideal weight-he can do it, after all, he is the 40 oz. steak MAN!!

30/10 means the average woman loses 3-5 pounds per week or an average of 30 pounds in 10 weeks.  The average man is 50/10  in that the average man loses 5-7 pounds per week  or an average of 50 pounds in 10 weeks.  A woman needing to lose 15 unwanted pounds to reach her ideal weight,  could do so in 5-6 weeks.   A man needing to lose 20 stubborn pounds could do so in 4-5 weeks.  The program is easy and fun because we have designed it that way, it is a precise program that incorporates diet, hypnosis and compassionate staff coaching to accelerate a safe fast weight loss with the main objective of weight loss for life.  Once a client reaches their ideal weight, we will never abandon them.  Until next time, Dr. Mark Doyle.
